It’s no secret that I love keeping life simple, which includes my photography style. So when Dallas’s mom asked my suggestion on what her little boy should wear for his 6 month old photo session – my answer was a simple white onesie.

I truly wish I would have let my boys wear white onesies for their pictures when they were little. But for some reason I thought I had to dress them all up for pictures. They were uncomfortable, their clothes didn’t fit and the focus taken away from their cute little faces.

Keeping it simple pulls the focus straight to your baby’s face. You don’t have to worry about bows, collars, straps or any of that stuff that comes with wearing little outfits. Now don’t get me wrong – the right outfit can also be very sweet, but I encourage you to keep it simple with a onesie and save the fluff for another occasion.

A bonus – I even keep a variety of white onesies in my studio so you don’t have to worry about finding a clean one.
