I love first year cake smash sessions! It is so fun to watch babies taste their first cake…some completely devour it, others look at their parents like they are crazy and want nothing to do with the strange object. But before we make a mess, I think it’s important to capture some pretty portraits of baby. The first birthday is such a huge milestone! Kendall had already started walking and was always on the move, but we got some super cute portraits in her pretty pink outfits.

Back to the cake, this little sweetheart wasn’t so sure about her cake at first! But when she realized how good it was she dove into the cake head first. I don’t blame her, it looked delicious!
